The Academic Department of Psychological Diagnostics and Counseling was established 1st of September 2008 by the order of the rector of SUSU. The head of the academic department is the doctor of psychological sciences professor Baturin Nicolay.

The Academic Department of Psychological Diagnostics and Consultation carries out preparation of bachelors in a direction 030300 – Psychologyand Masters under programs: «Psychological counseling» and «Differential psychology and psychodiagnostics».

Subdivision of the Academic Department is Laboratory of Psychological Diagnostics and Counseling (the head is Pervuhina Elena). The laboratory manages educational activities and scientific researches in fields of Psychological Counseling and Psychodiagnostics.
